While it can be tempting to share your food with your pets, please do so only in strict moderation. Too much human food can cause acute pancreatitis — a painful inflammation of the pancreas. This condition ranges from mild to life-threatening and often requires hospitalization, IV fluids, pain management, and supportive care. Symptoms include vomiting, decreased appetite, abdominal pain, and lethargy.

Prevention isn’t optional — it’s life-saving.

Fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes can transmit serious and sometimes fatal diseases. Keeping your pets protected year-round is far easier, safer, and less expensive than treating the illnesses they cause.
Getting a flea infestation can take months to completely resolve from your home.
Ask your vet, but my fur children get Bravecto Plus on my cats and Bravecto with Sentinel for the dogs. There is a free website to sign up for reminders. Trust me, skimping on Heartworm/Flea Prevention is not a smart choice.
Annual veterinary checkups catch health problems early — before they become serious, painful, or expensive.
They also ensure your pet stays up-to-date on vaccines and parasite prevention, while allowing your vet to track changes in your pet’s health over time.

Just like humans, pets benefit from routine blood tests. Annual bloodwork can detect early signs of disease — often before your pet shows any symptoms. This proactive approach can lead to more effective treatment, better outcomes, and sometimes even lower long-term costs.
Dental disease causes so many avoidable conditions. Bacteria in the mouth travels to the organs such as the heart, kidneys, and liver. Saving money not getting a dental will cost you in the long run and shorten your pets life.
Please see the picture below of all the reasons why your cat should stay inside. If your cat seems bored, buy a cat toy such as a dangling feather, laser light, new cat stand - or change the location of the one you have, buy a new scratching post and adjust areas so your cat can stay inside but be mentally stimulated.
Take the time to entertain your cat.

I prefer to stay very close to my home base incase of an emergency especially when I have fosters. If you are just slightly outside of the two mile radius, I can let you know if it would be an option. With enough planning, sometimes I can make it work however a travel fee may apply.
No sorry, my house is a mini zoo as it is. Extra stress is put on your pet to be without you and thrown in to a new situation. The best and safest thing is for your pet is to stay in their regular routine.
Yes, but only the ones on the Kitten Adoption Section that state available now or upcoming adoptions. The rest of the beautiful models are mine now or were before they passed on. I do bring my fosters to work with me at Grand Oaks Pet Hospital. Reach out to me to find my schedule for the week if you are interested in meeting a kitten.
Unfortunately not everyone "remembers" to bring their pets for yearly vaccinations. Many people think if the cat stays inside or the dog does not leave their yard, it does not need to see a vet unless it is sick... The law requires every pet have a Rabies Vaccine unless a Vet excludes the pet from it. For my safety, calling your vet is nonnegotiable.
The saying “you get what you pay for” truly applies here. I’m a local sitter with deep ties to our community. I am very transparent of who I am, where I live, and work. You will have maximum assurance of who is with your pets at all time. I’m responsible, mature, and bring years of experience caring for pets, which means I know how to keep your pet safe, healthy, and comfortable. I never outsource — when you hire me, you always get me. I only accept a few requests a week as my full time position as Practice Manager of Grand Oaks Pet Hospital keeps me busy! I am blessed to make my own hours to accommodate clients needs. 100% of my Pet Sitting Profits are used to fund feeding my fosters and TNR rescue efforts.
Please just ask me! If I will not be available, it will show as a popup on my homepage.
